About Me

Aditi Bhatnagar

I came to UX research through neuroscience. I built a strong foundation learning about how people think, then shifted to how they interact with the tools built for them, and now I'm focused on a new frontier: how we design when the system itself is uncertain.

The intersection between rigorous human understanding and the reality of building in ambiguity is where I thrive. I spent two years as the sole researcher on Mailchimp's brand new SMS marketing product, and that work taught me how to conduct research in a space where the product area, roadmap, and direction are not well-defined. At Intuit, I now lead research for Platform Identity, covering authorization and identity lifecycle management, areas that have implications for the all 100 million customers across the world.

Right now, my work centers on AI: how people decide to trust an agent, where they need to intervene, and what it takes for AI to feel like something you can hand work to rather than something you have to watch. I'm also an active practitioner; I've built AI-assisted research workflows, run cross-functional AI maturity programs, and advocated for responsible AI adoption at the org level.

I hold an MS in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Managerial Economics from UC Davis. I'm currently based in the Bay Area and came to the US for school at 18. When I'm not working, I'm reading, learning how to knit, struggling through pilates, and taking long walks with my dog.
